About Us

Welcome to Beyond Therapy Services! We are here to provide assessment and therapy for children and families in the areas of early language development, augmentative and alternative communication, and feeding.


We believe families are the true 'agents of change' and work closely with them during the assessment and therapy process. We believe in looking at the whole person by addressing multi-sensory needs through play, movement and more. We are here to help achieve meaningful goals that will help children thrive in their home and community.

About Me

Jenelle completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Linguistics from the University of Regina. She went on to complete her Master’s in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Alberta. During her studies she completed her thesis research in the area of augmentative and alternative communication by looking at the value of online mentoring for changes in language output for users of AAC.

Jenelle went on to work in a variety of community and hospital settings. Jenelle primarily worked in an outpatient feeding and swallowing clinic at the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital in Saskatoon before having her children and relocating to Edmonton.

In addition, Jenelle continued her passion for AAC while working for a private clinic in Saskatoon and through the Children’s Home Care program (AHS) here in Edmonton.

Early Language Development

Have concerns about how much your little one is talking? We can help ensure they are on the right track with an assessment and tools to get them there!

mOTOR sPEECH AND sPEECH SOUND dISORDERS

Having trouble understanding your child? Do they have trouble with specific sounds? Do they seem to be understanding what you are saying just can’t say the words themselves? We can help look at the root of the issue and provide therapy and training to improve their intelligibility!

Feeding and swallowing

Bottle refusal? Mealtime stress? We can help with everything from difficulty with bottling, introducing solids, difficulty learning to chew, and picky/problem eating.

Social Communication Skills

Does your child have difficulty making and maintaining friendships? Do they say inappropriate things in public? Do they not seem aware of social cues? We can help teach them the skills to navigate social situations and how to communicate appropriate!

Augmentative and Alternative Communication

Does your child have a complex medical background? Unsure if they will be able to communicate with you? We can help find a solution!
